Right on, BK, that's too funny RT says that his special brine for the buttplug herring is made up of mostly vaseline He claims it gets much better action that way! Oh yeah, don't forget to put a florescent piece of arrow-shaped tape near the tail so it can be seen even when used in the deepest holes :p

Ok, RT don't even think of telling us how you tune your buttplug herring..... I'm pretty sure that the words, butt, plug, herring, tune, and pliars should not be used in the same sentence! Parker

LOL guys. But let's be fair and informative here. My buttplugs are made from the smallest yellow pack herring. The Kid's are made from the largest purple pack herring - and reportedly he uses them whole; doesn't even bother to plugcut them! Geeez, what does that say about the hole he likes! Hmmmm - with lack of rain I wonder how his hole got so big? Oh wait, I think I know the answer ... oooooh yuk dude! Not you Justin (just in) . BTW, he likes to troll his headfirst - if ya know what I mean. "Knights of the Roundtable"

OK, back on track here. Ya, the D.N.'s work real well at times, especially in clear water. I was just teasing the guys for revealing that - but who am I to say crap about that, eh? If I had to pick just one lure to use in my all around salmon/steelhead fishing, it would be a Kwikfish in K-14 size and in the matalic blue and green striped chrome body; of course with a chartreuse arrow tail underneath. I would use a single 2/0, maybe 3/0, siwash hook extended with a beadchain from the belly eyescrew. Keep the eyescrew in a straight plane fore to aft (hey Justin, eyescrew and weallscrew; just keep it 'straight', OK ). This would be good for all the species and good for a variety of water conditions. But I sure am glad to be able to use more than one lure. And don't forget eyescrew. RT
