There used to be some radio shows on fishing, regs and laws, call-in comments, etc. Do any of you know of any on the air now? We used to listen to then Sunday nights on the drive back from the OP.

Just listen to Tom Leykis instead .

Ryan,you have to make her do that stuff.Whats the problem.Mine has the boat hooked to the truck full of gas.All tackle and bait ready.She even cleans them then puts up the eggs.Plus she doesnt wait till the fish is landed,shes pretty good with a pole in one hand and a net in the other.You know what she does all this because shes a good woman.I dont have to make her do any of it. Oh yah,when the fishins done I just go in the house and kick up my feet and watch the tube while she cleans the truck and boat and gets dinner ready.

The late Bill Davis had a great radio show, and, more recently KIRO had a good show Sunday mornings (sportsman's show?) at dark-thirty. But it, too, was cancelled. You would think that there would be enough intrest to support at least one weekly outdoor sports show! Isn't the "great northwest" supposed to be all about the outdoors?

KOTK in Portland has "the outback angler" saturday mornings from 0600-0700, I'm sure the signal is too weak to reach you, but it is also webcast from their website www.1080kotk.com

Leykis is a firm believer in recycling. He's been recycling the same material for years now. With the Internet and Usenet newsgroups, who needs to LISTEN about people seeing racks?

I dont mind listening to people talking abot racks.Gotta remember its only entertainment.

But I guess it is all in context...'I dropped a buck with a 8 pt. rack over the weekend' would be sportsmen related while 'I nailed a chic with a big rack' wouldnt be just as 'Some chic without a rack has a restraining order against me' wouldnt be sportsmen related either. :p

Can you give more information on Bill Davis' passing. I know his show on KIRO was cancelled, but then he got a show on KOMO. I remembering tuning in one afternoon and he wasn't on, and they said he was sick. This was 3 or 4 years ago. So again, more info would be appreciated.

Try the Don and Mike show on 100.7 from 9:00 to noon. They are awesome.

A good radio show about NW fishing would be a blessing, didn't there used to be one with Trey Karskad <sp>.

What is needed is a long winded person with knowledge of the NW and likes to rant. Ya know, I think there is a person here that could do that but right now he is on pain medication for a broken tailbone . I think qualifications have merit and one individual stands out to meet this. Huummm...but can he keep the audience entertained for more than a rant . Yeah, I think he could because of his deep interest in the NW fishery and the down to earth experiences. Heck, he has probably been chastised on every board in the NW. This obviously makes him controversial and people are looking for the "other side of the story".

Anyone care to guess who this person might be?
