I knew that I would get some of all y'alls attention with that header! smile What I am really asking is that if anyone can help me out on finding some apple or other fruit wood for smoking fish-the few that I do bonk on the head. I don't mean chips, I mean branches/logs. If anyone can help me out, I would be more than happy to put a couple of yours in the smoker- a true TEXAS size (y'all know how they brag about size) smoker in return. Tanks, and other large armored vehicles laugh .

Hey Fish4
Orchard owners may be your best bet. I know they prune in the winter months. Sorry that doesn't answer your short term dilema, but you'll be ready for the future.

A lot of the small mom and pop farms keep trimmings from their fruit trees and sell them in bundles for smoking texas sized fish. Apple and cherry are most popular. Two places in Vanc. have them, but there has to be some growers in your area that have orchards and sell fruit to the public. They are usually happy to let you hit the brush pile and fill your truck.
