Here are my two entries. First though she's tiny they don't get any more chrome than this in the Sandy river.

If you fish closer to the coast, how about this nice little Trask river nate, complete with sea lice.

One of the Kings from Westport, what a great year of fishing for all of us. A bright fish on a dark day.

Just a couple for you.

A nice 20+ Sky pig.

A nice two-toner chromer on the Quinault:

Man, this is soooo chrome there's even a glare coming off of this fish!

Man, if this isn't a chromer...

Nice photos, but I've personally seen the print from The Kids photo. That, by far, is the pretiest fish photo I've seen. Take The Kid out of it, and it would be perfect! My vote goes to The Kid.

Darn, these are some bright fish now I'm thinking I might not have any as bright as a couple of these. I downloaded pegasus a picture sizing program and hopefully I can figure out how to use it, I'm at work now and don't have any pictures available to put up here.
I've got a couple that could contest with those up here but I don't know, Kidsauk, Parker and stewed all have some killer steelie pics. Although all of them are nice. Fishbait, what a pic of that fat hen you just caught, and RT you've got some killer ones too.
Keep them coming....

Here's, a black and white Hen from the Hoh. Not as shiny as some of yours but what makes her special is her size. Note a couple of sea lice too.

A contest??? Cool, I like contests! But since I have a distinct advantage by having a couple of other anglers in my boat almost every day, I'm gonna limit my pix to fun fishing only ... me, Fishgal, or relatives - almost smile

All river caught, no cheating in the salt wink I like translucent fins!!! I'm gonna put up a pic of each pacific species ... sorry, there isn't such a thing as a chrome humpy or chum :p

How 'bout a king - Fishgal's mom on the Kasilof River:

And a silver - Fishgal at the crack of dawn on the Kasilof:

Here's a new one in the thread - Fishgal and a mean sock-in-the-eye:

I guess I'd better get in on this too ... how 'bout a really fat, really chrome hen on one of the most unforgettable days of steelhead fishing ever ... this on a Peninsula river.

Let's see some more!!!

Nice Pics Bob,
Damn that steelie on the bottem is buetty.

When the winners are chossen it should be the top pic for each species.(just my thought)

I think that after we get the winner of this that there should be a ugliest fish on film or something.

Some Nice fish!

So far Id rate The Kids Steelie #1. That is a Beautiful Fish! There are some nice ones but that one tops them all, its just one of those fish.

There is still one fish id like to see and thats Bob D's 40+" hen. That would be somthin to see.

NOTE: As I mailed to KS, I would love to have some of these pics to put in my book.
In a few weeks my manuscript goes in and I will have to turn in actual pictures
(5" X 3" or 6" X 4" prints using high tech scanners - apparently that's better than using
pic negatives these days). Anyone that has a quality picture of a nice bright and/or
big fish with good river or water or mountain background scenery would be good candidates.
Just e-mail me if interested and I will e-mail you my regular address to send
re-prints to, along with your name. I would love to have the lower 2 of your 4 pics Bob.
All the fish are great but the excellant river background is important. >

I've also noticed in a number of pics how the angle can glare out the lateral line
and dark back contrast, which is nice to have. This happens mostly when a flash is used,
as below in this pic.

In a pic from Tofino, B.C. this summer you'll notice with BB member Bruce Gray's 2 fish,
which were identically bright, that the one on the right that's squared to the cam
looks brighter than the other which isn't. Hey Bruce, I don't remember any women on board
taking pics, yet the tails were cut
off. rolleyes (better talk to your bro about that) Of course with women taking the pics
the fishermen's heads are usually cut off. wink

Just kidding around ladies. It's a thing my wife used to do until she figured out the cam
takes a pic of what is seen thru the view finder. rolleyes
