If it doesn't show up, can you tell me what I am doing wrong trying to post a pic?

Like Dan would say, I'm not a pro fish pic critic but I slept at a Best Western last night so I can play one on a fishing BB. smile

OK Todd, the background is really nice and your mug is fine. It's the fish. The top one is angled with the belly toward you and the top/back angled away from you. That is one of the angles that causes a missed opportunity to get the best light reflection off the bright fish scales on the side and highlight a white belly. That fish is obviously mint bright, but this is about fish pictures. Check out the mint bright fish that caught the right light angles among my long 'favorites' posts, and go back and compare to your bright fish - big difference in bright light reflection. The lower one is a big bruiser buck steelie - a nice catch for sure. But is simply is not a bright chromer. Keith set this whole thing to be 'bright fish pics'. I wish I could fish that river though! wink

How about some more people voting in their top 3 pics in the 2 catagories?!? If better pics come along later you can edit your votes, or re-vote in a new post later. We need to see which pics are the ones to beat, and I'm the only one who voted so far. Need lots of votes. I'd like to put the winners in STS mag.

#1 I still like Kid Sauk's fish. Chrome and not a mark on it. Perfect.

#2-15 Any of the fish fish Keith, stlhdr1 has posted. He has a lot of nice fish posted.

Hey fp,

Pictures of gillnetted fish don't count!

jk wink Nice rack of feesh. Where in AK? ... So many empty gas cans stacked up there. They have gas docks on the Kenai. The fish seem too bright for the Nush'. I'd guess Southeast Alaska estuary fish.

Edit: HEY PARKER! What are ya doin hangin a grey belly feesh in this thread for?!? laugh

RT, That's the Kenai..How could you have missed it? My dock on the river. Just a 1/4 mile above Soldotna bridge. Been there for lotsa (21) years. I have to go to town about twice a week for fuel. Riverside prices on gas are just to inflated.
Not trying to win any contests but just figured out how to post a picture and haveing a little fun and showing that there is other things going on besides King fishing..
The catch of Reds was an afternoon trip with 9 clients and an assistant guide and in 3 hours we were back. I had all 66 in my fish box w/5 clients and it took about a mile to get on step.
My fish cleaner can fillet a 2&1/2 Reds a minute. I went home and there he was woundering if we had any more fish to do. WHAT A KID!!!fp

fp, that one a nice day on the Kenai!!! The gas cans is what fooled me.

That is a nice pic of the chromer steelie hen you posted just above. I'd say that fish is a pic contest contender.
