I have Qwest DSL. Once they install the line, you won't have a problem (at least I haven't). The problem you have is with your ISP. My original ISP was devoured by Earthlink. They run hot and cold.

ltlCleo, I've been using Qwest for my DSL service in my office for the last 18 months. Have been very happy with it. I decided just to use Qwest for my ISP also and no problems. I'll have to check the bill, but my speed is much higher than what I signed up for. Good luck

I'd dump AOL in a heartbeat. Earthlink is not a bad choice. I don't think there is a real good ISP. They all have problems.

I have had qwest dsl at home for about a year. some problems getting it hooked up and running, but since then it's been fine. I chose to have qwest as my ISP also, package deal saved me $10 per month. Going badk to a modem would be like going back to an old eagle claw with a spinning reel............
DO IT..........you will love it..

DSL is great if you can get it. As far as the ISP goes, your best off going with a local ISP and one that has been arround for a while in your area. Try dealing with MSN, AOL, Earthlink... not to mention they way over sell bandwidth. Also when you decide to not use one of the above National ISP's I've heard of alot of people still getting charged on their Credit Cards for Months and Months!!

Hey, I'm catching fish with an eagle claw and a spinning reel. And out here in the sticks, no DSL. Verizon estimates it will be four years before DSL reaches us. Probably dish access prices will come down before that.

In the home, the only thing better than DSL is Cable. I was down for 1 1/2 days with the bankruptcy of Excite. Now on ATT's network (attbi) and all is well and smoking fast. Never had a glitch before and hope not to with the direct service from att. At least twice as fast as DSL for 40/month. Other nice parts, 6 email accounts, free personal website, etc.
Check it out if it is in your area.
