Has anyone had a problem with the thumb bar on the reels that GI joes was selling the day after thanksgiving for $21.88??

I bought 3 and all three have thumb bars that crack all to hell under a little pressure.

GI joes said they would replace them....as soon as they receive a new shipment. Hope the replacement has a better thumb bar.

I talked to a salesman at Sportco about the abu's not engaging after I casted. I guess they have had several problems with all models of there reels including thumb-bars and the tradition style that engages on the side. He said he has talked to the rep several times about fixing the problem and they are trying to come up with a solution for the problem. They were expierencing problems with all their models.

What exactly were you expecting for $21.88 a piece?

I've had nothing but good experiences with abu-garcia. I saw them at the guide shop for $109, $21.88 was a 1 day thing at joes. They are not top of the line, but they are not what I expected from abu-garcia.
