Has anyone heard anything about the show this year? I haven't heard a word about it yet. Is it going to happen?

The BAD News: The Seattle Sportmen's Show that occurs in the Exposition Center has been cancelled. So you better make the one in Puyallup. eek

At least they cancelled the right one! Puyallup has a better show with more deals and stuff for sale!

They haven't cancelled the Seattle show - just moved it back to March cause the same people now run both shows and didn't want them competing with each other as much. Least that's what I heard today.

What sucks the worst about moving the show back is now we won't see some of the local tackle shop sales that always went along with the January show in Seattle. Oh well.

At Least Seattle is closer to me than Puyallup is. It's just to far to go alone. But If I was going fishing it wouldn't be. laugh

This weeks Albertsons grocery ad has a $3.00 discount coupon for the Puyallup show. It's inside the flyer, and is only valid for Wed(Jan. 23) and Thurs.(Jan. 24). The regular adult admission is $8.00. They might have the coupons at the customer service counter, if you've tossed the ads.

The show website, as posted above by Chris, also has a print out coupon for a $3.00 discount. Same restrictions as the Albertsons coupon.

For those that are interested there are 2 seminars that I would reccommend on Saturday, both are in the Blue Theater. At 2:00 PM Tom Nelson is going to speak on advanced downrigger techniques and at 4:00 PM Dave Mullins is giving a presentation on river jetboating. I took a lesson from Dave on the Skykomish when I first bought my sled, best $150 I have spent since I owened it and Tom is one of the best saltwater fisherman in the area. I plan on being at both of them.
Good luck and tight lines, Jeff laugh laugh

I'll tell you what, you guys are lucky to be there for the W Wa show in Puyallup, I am playing Army over here in Kosovo and have to miss it. I went to the Seattle show last year, hated it, won't ever go again. Between the money for parking and then the entry fee, I walked out of there 20 bucks and 20 minutes later. The one in Puyallup is the place to be, you guys are so lucky, I will be there next year. If Pat Graham (pgguideservice.com) is there, say hi to him from Justin. Have fun guys, and good luck fishing!

Yeah Jeffhead,

I agree, Tom Nelson is one speaker you don't want to miss. His talks are the highlight of the Sportsmen's shows for me. I've taken a couple of his classes, and it's the best money I've spent on saltwater fishing. No one knows saltwater fishing better than him... he is the guru. Did you see he and John Keizer are doing another class in February in Tacoma? I'm going to be at that one, too.
