We own some acreage with a creek that passes through it. It's about a mile upstream from the Straits of Juan de Fuca. Fisheries is monitoring the creek very closely right now because it is part of "The Eight Streams Project" of Clallam County. That means that 5 years ago, they put the creek back into it's orgional creekbed, of which it has not been in for about 70 years. The Streamkeepers have been monitoring the creek for invertabrates and it is classified as "Fair"....which seems to me like it could support fish.

I know that about 15-20 years ago, alot of guys were getting egg boxes put in creeks for fishery enhancement. Do they still do this? How do you get them and do they require any care after placement? It seems like the guys were getting surplus eggs from the hatcheries. I'd like to see if I could get egg boxes put in the gravel beds on my property, but I don't know who to ask or what it entails.
Thanks in advance.
