Got a job next week over in Asotin wonder if there are any steelhead still in that section of the Snake or the lower Grand Rhonde? I know it won't be as fun as October was but hey it's a beautiful place just to be. And let me guess water temp 37 degrees.

Asotin is a great little town. My grandparents live there and it has awsome fishing. Last thing I heard abou t the Ronde is that fishing was good. Call Boggans Oasis at 509-256-3372. They also have the best burgers in the world and Bill and Ferral are great people.

E mail me with any ??? you have on the Ronde, I used to work for a guy that guides it probably 200 days of the year and talk to him at least once a week.

Land Tuna,

My friend and I were on the Ronde on January 30th. We fished above Cottonwood Hatchery. We landed 7 fish in about 2 hours and that was it for the day. The water had previously come up and was just starting to level out and even drop a little that day. Very cold out. Should be lots of fish down on the lower end either starting to come up or waiting to come up. Cottonwood Hatchery fish usually start heading up river in late January or early february. Like the gentlemen mentioned before, give Boggan's a call. They are great people and should get you up to date info on the river. Best of luck.

Just a little hot info from a person I meet, make sure if you fish the snake bring along a few Brad Wigglers or the old warts in metalic-purple. He was so confident that he was buying 25 or more.
