FJ, you say your a Chevy man, so what are you looking at Fords for? I agree the super-duty Fords look sweet but my experience with my 98' Ranger ( 3 sets of shocks in 2 yrs,2 recalls not counting the tires, transfer case replaced, head gasket leaking, 2 trips to the shop to adjust the backlash in the rear axle ) all in 28,000 miles luckily it was under warranty. Stick to Chevy and you'll be happy.

I had a '90 F-150 with the 351 under the hood. When I traded it on my F-250 last year it had 193,000 on it, and still did not blow oil. The only expense I had was a tranny rebuild (I towed quite a bit), other than normal maintainence. I'll stick with a Ford.

Have a 98 Ram Quad cab with a v-10. Best truck I've ever owned. I bought it new, and Never had a problem. It will pull anything. 300 HP, and a 488 engine. Stepping on the gas is an instant burst of testosterone! (pulled a chevy out of a ditch with it during the last snow....)
