you take a fish and make a mold out of it. then you paint it just like they do to the actual fish mount. this way is way more durable and they last way longer than a skin mount. the great reason for a reproduction is that you dont have to kill a trophy fish . just take pictures , measure the length and girth and have someone make you a mount.

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

PE, It's 'cause having a huge fish like that on your wall is as cool as having a 12-inch schlong. Ok........maybe not THAT cool, but pretty damn cool. bardo has his walls plastered with some truly monstrous fish. Some from nets, some he caught. They're all cool. See, you get the 100 lb. king mounted, and you hang it on the wall. Now look at it........closely. Got it? Good........now you know what you're after.

i wish. that was taken by a commercial fisherman in alaska. i like big fish, so i had to have it for my trophy room. i'm after a 50 pound steelhead next. i just bought a certified scale, so if i catch a monster i can just take measurements and let the fish go.

WOW! I can only imagine the trouble it would cause at home if I got a replica made from a 100# slab like that king you've got pictured. My old lady would be upset that she'd have to sleep on the couch because I'd be sleeping with the damn thing. Not room enough in bed for the three of us ya know. I guess I could always upgrade to a KING size bed.

Did you have to chase it with the boat and how long did it take to land it? Nice job.

you can buy a chatillon hanging scale from www.itinscales.com the one i have is the 0-60 lb. in-60 and it cost about 145.00. after you purchase the scale, you have to send it to the international gamefish association to be certified. the cert. is good for one year. i have mine for coho and steelhead. for a big king you would have to get a 0-150 pound scale. for a record to be official, you can't weigh a fish on a boat. you have to be standing on the shore or in the water.

Bardo: Nice job with the digitals/visuals! Where's yer hands in that pic?????
I've seen mounts of 60# Kings that look bigger than that.
You want us to believe you're crazy enough to BUY a 100# mount?

you have never seen a 58 inch 60 pound salmon, with a 39 inch girth. maybe you were looking at a sturgeon. the pic is not altered. the guy that is holding it is holding on to the plywood back. it only weighs about 10 pounds
