I drove over the 'Bridge of Sighs' on Sunday and it looked awesome from there, I am supposed to fish the lower river a week from Friday so it better get better!!

The lake also looked like it was clearing...One pineapple could screw it up for the rest of the year though...

"Bridge of Sighs" brings back good memories. I had a good evening on the Hump fishing Kings several years agol listening to Robin Trower. Might be a good topic - if you listen to music while fishing- what kind or who?

Was supposed to hit it today with Radioshack, but my accounts just can't seem to stop spending money so I had to help my Boyz' out, water color has been marginal at best for most of the season, but try to stay up above the clay banks, 'tis the season' smile out there, will hit on Thurs. email for report Mav.

Fished the Lower Queets on 3/5/02 with Levi Sandstrom we hit it just right and had a 13 fish day. Some chrome bucks and hens 10-14 lbs.A few spawners mixed in, and lost some hot fish that just tore up the river and spit the hooks. Also picked up a 18-20" native trout...?? He had 1/2 his tail bit off! The bite was healed over and he seemed to be doing fine. We didn't pick-up a single dolly which I found strange, as the steelhead were spawning all thru the river and we were sidedrifting throwing bait and small corkies. Letty and her brother "biggie" were working the same drift with us, saw them pick-up some fish as well. On 3/6 we did the Queets again from frist light till 1:00 p.m. I crackerd off 2 good bites during the morning, other than that we didn't touch a fish. Robin R. was on the same drift this day and had 2 to the boat when we talked to him. We pulled out after a shore lunch of pan fried elk tenderloins(Thanks Levi!!) and shot down to the Lower Quinault. Fished it hard till dark, only picked up 1 spawned-out chrome hen of maybe 14 lbs. Vis was a grayish 2' on the Queets and a pea-green 1- 1 1/2' on the Quinault. All in all a great 2 day trip, weather held out for us, mostly sunshine bolth days..... laugh laugh ..c/22

C-fin, its looking like the Queets and L. Quiniaut will really color-up again with another wet week coming in. I don't know how they fish in april, but it might be that long till the Lower Q gets good. From what I've been told the Queets can drop and clear alot quicker, sometimes you just gotta roll the dice.. laugh
