When my buddies and I are planning a trip and having a hard time deciding which river to fish we start calling Bait and Tackle shops to see how the fishing is and river conditions. I know fishing is fishing and one day it may be Smokin and next day the fish moved and may be slow. However, when I call they seem to be like robots putting out the same old lines all year. I am not trying to slam the B&T shops, I know they must make a living trying to sell there sandshrimp, corkies and terminal tackle. Is there anyone out there you trust that give good fishing facts when the fishing is good or bad? We like to fish the Olympic Pennisula and rivers south of Olypmia. THANKS

Agnes and Andy Anderson at Blue Creek bait & tackle used to give me very accurate info, hated to see them close up shop. All the rest are broken records, always get the same old "yeah, there getting a few". Great thanks for the info, that helps alot, and that is why I will continue to save my money and shop at Sportco.

Bob gooding in forks has been very good to my dogs and me over the years.Bob if you read this bourd you know who I am now I have never asked how ,when and where but he does let me know enough to make my own plan.He is not the type to tell ya the best hole on the river but he will tell ya how to get to that river and that the river just got a fresh shot of fish or that it is pretty slow right now.

I have sat in his shop too many times and seen him give out honest advice just to have the a..holes scoff at him.

Remember when you aproach the shop whether it be on the phone or in person that people do judge the book by the cover!
