Well,

Took me a while to make a public thank you to Fish Jesus, and Craven Morehead for taking me fishing the other day. Wild and crazy me told the whole world to go to hell Friday, and I played hookey. Well, thanks guys for taking a jig newbie under your wings and showing me the ropes.

We fished the Upper 'Nooch on Frday, all day. We went 4 for 7. Got one relatively bright fish, and the rest were, ummmmm, mature fish.

This one was so bright, I had to wear shades. wink

Here's the "Anybody see my float?" fish. A nice 11.2 pound hatchery hen. We were floating down a nice pool, and I of course, was looking at something else, and then realized that I could no longer see my float. Guess what? It turned out to be a fish. Imagine that.

With some excellent intruction by Craven and Fish Jesus, two jig gurus, I was able to hook 5 fish, four on jigs, one on my own eggs, and land three.
What a great day!

Thanks again guys for an excellent day. I had a blast! It was well worth the price of an upset wife.

Nice job, Andy. I'm jealous again. Actually, I had the family at Ocean Shores for 4 days. The boys and I were headed to the upper as well, but blew a radiator hose and overheated instead.

Would have been good to see a real jig expert at work. Could be scary bumping into the guys you were with (based on monikers).

Check your E-mail. I sent some F-4 stuff.

Andy,
Had a great time hooking up with you and getting you dialed in. It is definitely fun watching that float slide around those log piles and suddenly disappear...oh wait, you weren't watching... laugh . Thanks for the lead so I can pour up more jigs. I am looking forward to hooking up with you again.
