Got a new ride for the Wshington boat last night. If any of you ever plan on building your own driftboat trailer, or are looking to put some need goodies on the one you already have ... this might be one to model after.
The trailer has actually been around awhile, in fact, another guide in town used to own this one ... but it's been in the garage undergoing a complete rebuild for a few years and here's the finished product:
Want to leave it on the back of the rig and still let the water drain (not like that's a need when you fish most everyday and live in Forks)??? Simple, the trailer tilts up and lets her drain:
Need to drop the boat down a nasty bank? No problem, trailer's all set for that ...
But just launching from the bar today?? That's a snap too (my mended back like the ease of this) ... double roller system, a gentle shove and she's off!
Rollers for the chine in the back will make uneven loading a snap ... more stainless steel, premium bearings in all of these rollers and all pvc coated!
How 'bout built-in backup lights, plate light, and beauty rings on them all ...
Even all the chains and snaps are stainless ...
Glad someone else put all this work in, now I get to enjoy it :p
But not till next fall!!
