Since there's now only barbless hooks allowed in Puget Sound, I've decided to switch to circle hooks for bottomfishing. I can't seem to find any stores that sell them besides the huge heavy ones for halibut. I've heard that the size numbers for circle hooks are very different from normal hooks, and the few that I've managed to find seem to support this. I'm leery about ordering them from a catalog since the 10/0 hook I found at Sportco was only about the size of my thumbnail. I don't want to order a bunch of hooks that I can't use. So does anyone know any stores in the area that carry different sizes and weights of circle hooks?

GI Joes has Gamakatsu circle hooks in smaller sizes, like around 1 to 3/0.

I've had good luck with these gamakatsu barbless octopus hooks. They have a more "circle" shape than a regular octopus style hook. Holiday Market in Burlington has them in #4-6/0.

Try Narrows Tackle & Marine in Tacoma, they have a real nice selection of tackle.

Other than that, try Seattle Marine Supply, behind the Fishermen's Terminal in Seattle... they carry tons of different Mustad hooks, give them a call first to make sure, though.
