Fished the upper Sky yesterday .the drift was full of line,after number of hangups I finally got a hold of the [Bleeeeep!] ,three different pieces of braid.whats up with these Morons? they need 30lb line to catch 6lb fish. mad mad mad

Are they using it as leader? I use braided line (from 8 - 14 lb) and have never broken it off. That's one of the reasons I like it, if I get hung up, I just lose the leader rather than 50 feet of main line.

I agree with Jacob F, I've been fishing braided fire line on the Sky now for the past two seasons and haven't left a bit of it on the bottom yet. The only thing I lose now is my 10# test leader and an occassional piece of lead. Back in my mono days that wasn't the case, losses of main line were the norm.
