...still slated for Aug 1? Any word on fish returns to date?

i've hooked fish on all but 2 trips out there this season. i would check the regs but i dont have them handy. i think it is aug 1st... dont even think about doin it then tho...

Watch the rule changes on the WDFW website. As soon as the hatchery gets enough fish to meet their needs it should open.

My son and I made it to Reiter on opening day five years on a row and always caught limits, usually within about the first 1/2 hour. One of the highpoints, is waiting for the official start time and everyone casting in at the same time! can you say, *#@!!*!!.

I call the number at the ponds yesterday. The guy that answered the phone said they had 55 fish in the traps and need 400. You can call the mill creek office and they will give you the same report. On Monday (7/15) they will get a new report on how many fish entered the trap for the week of 7/8 to 7/14. Unless the was a huge push of fish i don't think we'll get the early opener.
