That (lumber issue) is a crock-its non fishing related---the Canadiens I have met on the river or played hockey with or just visited with are the most friendly laid back people around. Fun to party with, as well. They too have the unfortune of inbreds within their population. I will be heading up north to fish.

I too will be going north when it's time--- there is a long history of economic decisions made by political powers on both sides of the border that really affect us common folk. We need to pull together, not apart.

I have nothing but good things to say about Canada, and the Canadian people I've met. As I've said before, us yanks could learn a thing or two from our brothers to the north! See you guys up there! smile

I have never had a bad experience with Canadian fishermen. The first time I fished the Vedder for salmon, I wasn't having any luck, one of the locals realized I was frustrated and came over and actually OFFERED advice. Not only did he give me some great pointers, he even let me make a few casts with his rod so I could get the feel. It was a welcome change of pace from the "f**k off" attitude I got from a lot of people down here when I was first learning how to fish rivers.
