it looks like i'm headed up to whidbey is. next monday and tuesday. i was wondering if anyone was getting into anything up that way. i don't have my sights set on anywhere specific but i'd like to get out and find some fish. anyone been up that way lately? i was thinking of fishing possesion early, though i haven't heard a thing about it lately.

My suggestion would be to fish south... I spent Saturday fishing from the Bombing Range north, and we didn't see a fish-- maybe one king strike, several doggies and lots of bait. Tried several techniques and got blanked on my favorites. I did see a couple of fish that could have been resident silvers jump near Partridge Point, but that was it.

Since I'm currently livin outta state I'm not up on the reg.s. But I have had great luck (for Kings) at Ft Casey with jigs fished on the bottom. I mean right on the bottom. Talk to Kevin at the Oak Harbor Ace Hardware, he has all the latest info.
