Found out this morning that my 120 force powerhead is TOAST.Cracked down around #4.Grief mad

I am thinking that a four stroke probably suzuki will be the replacement.I have the suzuki 9.9 and love it for a kicker. My question is anybody out there know what size it will take to push an 18' trophy 40 mph?

The junk I mean force 120 would do just barely 40 am wanting to get up into the 40s with the new motor.

thanks in advance smile

Problems with a Force? Who'd have thunk it? laugh I'd get a 150 and be done with it.

I have a heavy deep V walk around cuddy that measures about 19 feet. I get 40-42mph with my 115 fourstroke yamaha, so I would recommend something larger than a 115 for sure if your goal is mid 40's.

The Farce I mean Force you are talking about is really only putting out around 90 hp, I read an article on how they rated the hp at the powerhead not at the prop which has been standard for a while. So when you pick your new motor remember you only had about 90 hp and got the performance you did.

Remember that you need to check the boats Horsepower rating tag to make sure you dont over power the boat.
