Went down to the toutle today and was amazed at all the people fishing on a weekday. Yes I know a lot of people are retired but these weren't all old folks. Yes I work, but I have a 4 on 4 off schedule so I get weekdays off sometimes. Anyways I ended up with 1 nice 13.3lb hatchery silver (hen), and lost a handful of others. The regulars said that there has been a lot of natives this year so if ya head down make sure ya look for the fin. Still some nice kings in the system too.

Guess I should run up to that river up north, no one knows about if I want to be alone. HaHaHa

there are alot of people working alternate shifts in the northwest.

I have every other Monday off.....seems better that way, rather than Friday, lots of people have Fridays off!!

Work is for people who don't fish.

I work the stock market, I'm done by 7:30am. Plenty of time to fish.

Let's see, over 7% unemployment in the area, yup people aren't working.

I belive washington has the 2nd highest unemployment rate right now. More people are looking to put food on the table.

Have a job that allows me to fish whenever I want to. I could work a better job, but why when it allows me to do something that I like to do.

Maybe they were striking schoolteachers or former Boeing employees?

The ones that work--pay for those that do not is what it comes down too. Excluding the rich and retired, and those that truly cannot. It's the American way.

When economy is tough work is hard to come by, I have experienced that one first hand, I am thankful daily to be employed. Yet working for Da Man can get into fishing time—Honesty, well that one is in the beholder.

If a person cant work, might as well FISH.
