What kina of truck have you got and where are you going to have it parked and Iwill help you out. :p By being a little green all you have to do is pay your dues, but breaking a new rod should count. Good luck on your future adventures.

Silvers in fresh water, especially Snohomish silvers, are known for being lockjawed. When you hang up on a log or rock and need to break your line, don't jerk on the rod. Point your rod at the snag, grab your line at the reel, and pull/walk away from the snag.

Ya only lost 4 lures!! Must have only fished for a hour, huh? Put in your time and your dues will be paid, then watch out Salmon, here comes a new "fisherman." Broke the Lami too. Shame on ya, hang on to the line next time. fp

Put a small or medium Dick Nite on a 3' leader. Cast across stream, let it hit bottom and reel slowly toward you. Good Luck.

Send your rod back to Lami. I bet they replace it. I had an ugly stick break and they sent me a new one. Good luck Devine

From what I hear (and don't threaten to sue me for slander for relaying it here :-) ), the fish are there in decent numbers but the river is low and clear and too warm for the coho to get excited. A couple days of rain to cool the water temps and I'll be using my SW Air frequent flier miles to come up and toss a couple Dick Nites myself. When the water is this low, clear, and warm, 95% of the coho caught will be hooked in the dorsal mouth.

There are some fish in the Sky now and they seem to bite better there, although I haven't been on the good side of one yet. Saw two caught in about 15 minutes Tues evening. Try a deep, narrow slot with good current and some seams and bounce a corkie and yarn and/or some eggs through it along various tracks. Its's working for some guys anyway, although not me yet.

OK 4Salt,
Thanks for the warning. I'm giving Johnny Cochran a retainer tomorrow morning to defend me in all my lawsuits and to have him file an injunction to prevent me from being banned. :-)

Thanks Everyone for all your help keep it coming please. I tell ya it sure is easier catching humpies. I've been up several times and used the old D-N's to no avail. but i did see a guy come a catch a couple in 30 minutes. so whats the deal why him and not me? as for the old Lamiglass it's got a lifetime warrenty i think (i sent it back already) even for greenhorns that should know better. i think it was more the combonation of fire wire and setting the old hook into a log that i thought was a fish. i guess i thought it was a whale. thanks Vices
