I have seen a few threads on night fishing...mostly on east side rivers. What about the west side? I know that most rivers have night closures but there are some that don't. Are there any advantages to it at all? what type of techniques do you use? Glow in the dark spoons...Corkies? I am particularly curious as to what "glowballing" is, as I have heard the term on here more than once.

Any input is appreciated, I am on the biggest losing streak in history I think... frown

thanks in advance..

I'm not sure about other rivers but the cow is good for glowballing. Glowballing is just a term fisherman use for fishing at night. Fish like you normally would just use gllow corkies. Glow spoons also work. For steelhead a popuilar way to fish is using a bobber and glow jig. Use a camera flash for quick light up of your gear.
For the bobber use a cork one with the little glowsticks as your bobber stop so you can watch it.
Good luck to ya

What's up eggroller-

I fish most of the South Western streams and some of the Grays Harbor streams, and up and down the Hood Canal and South Puget Sound area.

For glowballin', we spank them on the Cowlitz, and the blah blah river, and the yadda yadda river. Glowballin' can be done the hour before official sunrise and the hour after official sunset. That's usually when I pick up most of my fish, but on the Cowlitz around 2:30am is usually a decent bite for about 2 hours or more.
