I have a question for any one who has fished in Idaho.

I have an open invitation to fish at Swan Valley ( Palisades Creek, South Fork of the Snake River) or Henery's Fork for a week. I have not had a chance to fish either of the river. I can go anytime so there is no time limit.

Which river would you go and why?
For those of you who have fished at either one , which ones a better choice.
Thanks for any input.

Hi Matt!
I live on the snake but not that far south. Its excellent fishing here in the treasure valley and where you have been invited is known for the big browns. If and when you go, take a collection of flys and nymphs for those fella's and dont forget your bass plugs, you'll have a ball with the small mouths that this river is loaded with! there is still plenty of water in the snake right now so fishing shallow is out of the question. Its also clean water where you are headed so the fish tend to bite more on darker colors in shaded areas such as blacks and blue lures. Have a good trip, dont worry.. you will nail em and you'll love the country.
best regards, Vince*

Why not fish both??? they are pretty close to each other. If you want bigger fish skip both those rivers and get in a float tube. Henrys lake and Island park res both can be outstanding. With a full week you could hit a different place every day and not even start to cover it. The real hot invite would be steelhead fishing on the Clearwater... its hot right now.
