My daughter and I have met and talked with this 20 year old female warden on the Green. I found her to be extremely pleasant and friendly. She was knowlegable about her job and the river. She and her partner made my daughter swear in as a deputy warden (which for a 9yr old is a huge deal)
I commend this young lady for the work she is doing and look forward to seeing her on the Green enforcing what we all know to be a great sport mistreated badly in this area.

If the Gammie in questions name is Lindsy(SP) (not sure if it is her first or last name) she is doing some things others would not do. I had talked to her a few times about some snagging and she had assured me that she would look into it and get back to me. She did and she has done things. If it is the same person I have respect for what she does and has to deal with all day long. Like mentioned before, if you can remember all the gear then remember your Lic. If the guy in question was making an honest mistake then maybe the judge will excuse the ticket this time but the officer was doing her job.

2 years ago, I was crabbing on Puget Sound and was checked. I discovered that I had left my license in my steelhead vest. The gamie took all my info and gave me his business card. He told me to mail him a copy of my licence within 7 days or else he would mail me a ticket for $350. I recognized and really appreciated the break he was giving me. It seems like the younger officers are more likely to have a chip on their shoulder in an effort to "establish" themselves.

QUESTION: I was under the impression that the officers carried a box (like the UPS guys) where they scan the bar code of your license in the field to check for past violations, etc. If this is true, couldn't they just enter your SS# and confirm a license?
