I was watching the news last night. They had a consumer watch segment that was talking about people getting ripped off on magazine subscriptions. The company sends out new/renewal letters to fishing and hunting magazine and some other mags they didnt name. Asking for renewal and subscriptions and they never forward the money to the magazine now you just forked out your money and are out of luck. I dont know how they or why they picked fishing and hunting news but they did. They were located in washington until they were sued by the state 4 years ago and the state won and closed them up. Now they are operating out of oregon under two different names. If you renew or subscribe make sure your sending your money to the correct place. I hear you Gutz. I subscribe and dont pay any attention to where to fish and whats hot. I like the maps and how to stuff. I heard it called the fishing and hunting lies magazine. I think the real news magazine has twice the info and less than a quarter the size.

fishing and hunting news has the right idea but the resources they get there info from are totaly bunk........false... subscribe today and get a 50cent pocket knife, give me a break....

The point of this is buyer beware not which magazine to read. The problem described is not exclusive to FHN but other magazines as well. You may subscribe directly to a magazine and then get a renewal that you think is directly from the magazine but it only LOOKS like it. So you send money and someone scams it. So I agree with the original post to beware of where you are sending subscription money.
