So I hear the Chums are showing up around 277th. So does anyone know how they are doing down by Boeing Acess/Pac Hwy?

Silvers were good earlier and I was just wondering if it is good for chums? Close to home for a short few hours of fishing.

Nice to hear that they are showing up. I was just down at the hatchery area on saturday, and didnt see a single chum up there yet. All I saw was a bunch of tired ugly silvers. Im probably going to the Green this saturday. I'll post my results.

Neurosis, welcome to this board! The chums are usually thick in the Green around Turkey Day.

Jigman - never got the hang of jigs...what colors do they like? Any particular type of jig? I sure would like to learn this approach.

They love pink, hot pink, and chartreuse or combinations of those colors. White is a sleeper color that not alot of people use but it kills them!

Do you drift them just like you would corkies? or what is the method for using a jig? Ive heard of people floating them. That I can understand. Although ive never dont that before either. frown

Normally they are fished below a float. They can also be swam through the water but you don't want to try and just drift fish with them......you'll lose them. Auburn sports & Marine has a display up now that shows how to rig them.
