The most rescent Episode would definately have to be a Charter Boat Trip out of Chinook out beyond the Columbia River Bar. Six of us went for the Day, it was a beautiful day must have caught and released Seventy or Eighty Fish just to get our Legal Limit of Fourteen Fish, but that's another Story.

We had one big screw up on the trip besides two of our party getting seasick. About half way into the day we had a Triple going and somehow all three of us plus the Skipper ended up in the same corner of the boat with the net on the deck behind us. The Skipper did the Catch and Release thing on my Fish as it was a Native Coho, I stepped back to get out of the way so he could work the other fish at this point my foot got tangled up in the net and as I planted the other foot on the pitching deck to regain my balance I stepped on fish blood and slyme from a previously caught Coho and at this point I went down hard over the engine cover of the I/O and the Deck.

There we go me on the deck not moving tangled up in the net hurting holding my fishing pole and everyone asking me if I'm alright and the other two fish still to be boated or Caught and Released.

After all the excitment had died down and I had regained both my composure and my feet one of my partners jokingly said if I was hurt they would have called the Coastguard to come and get me flown out as they were there to fish not to take me in.

The Gentleman making the comment is a Retired Coastie, Auburn LEO, Auburn City Manager and Chief of Police for one of the little towns near the King - Pierce County Lines.

That was a thing of beauty Trailrat, I had forgotten about that wink

Long ago my brother and I were fishing for Catfish in Banks Lake. I put on what I assumed to an adequate gob of worms set it down, picked up my pole and casted. In that little bit of time my brother had picked up that gob of worms and began adding more. He really yelled when all that energy I was putting into that cast drove the hook into his thumb.

I once sat down to tied up several dozen 1/0 Alaskabou's flies for a customer. I was into a full swing when my daughter knocked a large box of hooks off my desk. I went to grab them and in one stroke, I managed to put the point and barb of an Alec Jackson under my left thumb's nail and gouge my left hand with the scissors. To this day, I have never felt that much pain in my life!!!!

Two days later, I snagged my wife's arse with a 3/0 during a double spey on the Skagit. That musta hurt... (Thank God for going barbless)(And a double Thank God for the truck keys being in my vest! That would have been one long walk back to Gig Harbor!)

About 25 years ago I was on the North Fork of the Sky fishing for steelhead with a friend. We were both on separate huge bolders. I see a huge spider in a web below me so I leaned over to spit on him...and over and over....in I went and for a wild ride and all my friend could say as I'm flailing was that I was scaring the fish.
