Today marks the 39th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. I was in the 4th grade at the time when we recieved word of the shooting. Along with the events of 9/11/2001 this event has to be the most profoundly tragic event of my generation! All these years have gone by and it's still hard to fathom....

So true. This nation has lost a lot of innocence since then. It's hard to imagine that the U.S. actually had politicians who were selfless statesmen who put the national interest above self and special interests. Ah well, it leaves a reason to hope the future aims high.

And less than five years later, Bobby was assinated. Those were potent times, and it changed my life.

I was in the 5th grade at that time. I can still see all the kids in the Cafeteria, gathered around the one TV in school, watching the live broadcast. Many kids were crying, and all were stunned by the horrific event!! It was a sad day for America, and I think still is!!
It is definitely one of the 3 or 4 most horrifying days in modern American history. Not sure how to rank them so I put them in chronological order.

I was I there too and a "little bit older!

After seeing today's CNN story about JFK … make up your own minds people about that one!

JFK may be your hero, but he is certainly not everyone's hero!

Did he even fish, or protect fish?

I also have a "bridge" that you can look at both the "fish" and the "car bodies" at the same time!

But that's o.k. because they were all "natives".

This may be way to deep for some…but not for all!!!
