Teds-close to the house, great service , products, knowledge.....and a good group of staff .......now.

3Rivers= get to dream about boats while there, and good people, and conveniently in route to the sky wink

GI Joes, ......some good prices and later hours when Teds is closed.

and Cabelas of course.

Walmart has lots of tackle and is not too spendy. They had buzz bombs 2 for $4 this week. I also go to Kitsap Sport. Sportco is my favorite. GI Joe's in the Portland area is good too. Also order some gear from Cabelas. It just depends on where I'm going and what I need. I like some of the local shops that have sandshrimp like Pritchard's, Olympic Sporting Goods, and sometimes go to the convenience stores that stock bait.

Kevin and friends @Ace Hardware, in Oak Harbor.

I'm sure some one mentioned Holiday Market in Mt Vernon (or is it Burlington).

I saw "Costco size packs" associated with Sportco. I've never fished ahh purchased there let alone know where it is. I mainly steelhead so is it a good spot to get like a five year supply of corkies, rag making stuff and the like?

Sportco is the bomb!

They have more selection than anywhere I know, and good prices too. Not everything is in "Costco" packs, alot of stuff is just like any other store. You gotta check it out. cool

I'll give a split vote for Ted's & Three Rivers New shop.

Although some of the key anchors in the staff at Ted's have moved on, Mike and Joe will take good care of you, and I'm sure the new fellas should be doing fine. Excellent selection of conventional tackle as well as plenty of stuff for the feather flingers as well.

One of those key anchors I mentioned was Kent, he now runs the new tackle shop at Three Rivers Marine in Woodinville. While the inventory isn't as varied as Ted's, the core selction of tackle is very good and geared towards the needs of river & salt salmon and steelhead fishermen. Lots of bulk stuff, and perhaps the best Loomis display in the country!

I can't say enough about going to shops that have guys helping you that really know their stuff ... both are excellent in that respect!

Don't go expecting a Ted's or Sportco for variety - but they can order anything and usually get it withint 2-3 days.

Hook, Line and Sinker About a mile East of the freeway at Smokey Point. One of the biggest selections of lure making gear around.
