Surprised this topic has had a single reply yet!! ...guess it got lost in the board's massive traffic! I fish mainly size 12's or double size 14's...favorite colors include rocket red, flame, flo. orange and straight pink.

Pearl pink, in the size that is about 5/16 inch. Smaller than big and bigger than small. Sometimes I use the flame orange ones with the fish scales.

For Steelhead:
If I could only have one color, hands down it would be pearl pink. If I could have two colors, I would back the pearl pink up with flame red, for a contrast and for lower vis water. If I could have three colors I would go with an orange type because I have seen a few times when they will key on orange and no other color (usually just on the heels of a good chum run). After that what ever floats your bait.
My motto: When in doubt Think Pink!

Size..probably the 12, sometimes followed by the the 12 with 14 near the hook ( I think it makes it look "buggy")
Color, most like pink, Ive always been partial to orange for winter steel. Also love the clown pattern and black with the glitter.

sorry all, just have to ask the stoopid question of the day... when attaching the yarn, the object is to contrast the colors right? I'm pretty sure thats the way to do it...but what is a good contrast for chartruse? just wonderin since I picked up some of the chat/black spot ones but never used em because I'm not sure what to fish em with...I just thought they looked like they'd catch a fish...feel free to

Only sparkling orange for all water. Too much a variety takes away your confidence. I've never been to a hole where they hit on one color. Size up for murky water. Orange yarn as small as the hook dia. and 1/2 in. long.

What a reversal in my life It used to be the chartreuse clown corky (yellow with pink dots) ... Now, it's the pink clown corky (pink with yellow dots). At least my colors stayed the same! PS, size 10

Only having one color corky is like trying to eat only one potato chip, I just can't do it.
I need at least two
Pearl Pink for winter is one of my favs
Purple just flat out rocks in the summer
