I thought that the libs supported the notion that soverign nations should have the right to self determine? What about the tribes are they not soverign nations? Why would you take preemeptive action and try to stop them from selling Wild fish that they have a legal right to sell. Seems a little two faced to me.

American Indian tribes are not your average sovereign. They are also protected as wards of the state (U.S.), making them effectively "dependent sovereigns."

If people don't like some of the laws pertaining to American Indian tribes, it's within the right of any citizen to propose and lobby for modification or outright repeal of those laws. There's nothing two faced about that.
