i agree -running a governor is the way to go for either side... senators only know how to spend while governors have to run administrations and budgets.....

Hopefully the governor candidate would be from a state where the office has real duties. In Texas the governor is just a ceremonial position. As far as duties and power goes, Lieutenant Governor actually a more important office in Texas! That might explain in part why Bush was so comfortable turning over his presidential duties to Cheney.
