The Bush Administration is achieving success in convincing people that Iran is a threat to our country and to "stability" in the Middle East.

One would think folks would be more skeptical after the Iraq scam but it looks like the same techniques used to build support for the Iraq war are working again in respect to Iran.

The main steam media is echoing the Administration line and Democrats are offering no opposition. Many of them have painted themselves into a box by previously criticizing Bush about invading Iraq while Iran is the "real threat."

Where is this headed?

The scary thing is that we still do have some weapons in the arsenal. Wouldn't it be ironic to have come through the Cold War unscathed and touch off Armageddon via a nuclear exchange with a 2-bit Country?

Its not about Iran being a threat to us. Just as Iraq Iran is clearly not a threat to us militarily.

Have you noticed that Iran is prepared to sell its oil in euros just as Iraq tried to do before we found a good excuse to obliterate them?

Iran is a threat but the threat is economical. The American dollar will fall and the chinese yen will increase you think our economy is bad now? Just wait. A nation of consumers would be doomed to poverty by such a change in the world community. What do we produce for that is soley and completly American manufactured anymore? NOT MUCH!

Why would we attack Iraq and Iran before North Korea? North Korea is not threatning our prosperity.

unless the countries debt ceiling is raised by huge amounts we wont have one penny to invade iran with and if we do it willbe the last coffin nail that drives the country into complete economic collapse.........we are allready officially bankrupt

I wouldn't be too sure about that, these days. We still have a definate upper hand, but they could still be a military threat if they chose to be.

We don't have the assets to successfully invade Iran. But we could bomb them OK. Bombing people goes over big with Joe Sixpack and the mainstream media.

Remember how well "shock and awe" played? It was sort of a cross between the super bowl and the mother of all fireworks displays.

A well timed bombing of Iran might swing the Congressional elections in November to the Repubs.

Just as with Iraq bush is not lying but hes not telling the truth either. I dont think the EU would be as acommodating if they new the real reasons behind Americas invasions. We have to make it look like we have a legitamate reason to invade other than economical.
