You must be older than I. When I was at the UW, some folks in Philosophy class (remember Bissel?) burned down the AFROTC building. I don't think they, or at least most of them, meant for it to go that far. It was pretty hard to be apolitical, even amid free love, gallon jugs of cheap wine, and pretty cheap baggies of pot. Ah, sex, drugs, and rock and roll. And some people think negatively of the 60s.

We were deprived, correct spelling, in my days of beer and roses. Sex had to be worked at. The foreplay was usually expensive and sufficient booze had to be at hand to allow the "Oh! I must have been drunk" ploy to be tolerated next morning. I had heard of Mary Jane but didn't know anybody the used the stuff.
