I was worried when Hawkins left that my school would drop off the top 20 list, maybe I can relax a little. It was a fun game to watch.

I was impressed the way BSU layed out SC like that......oh, I mean the way they laid out Texas like that........oh, I mean......never mind.
You're not wetting your pants over beating OSU are you?
That field is the gayest thing I've ever seen.

Dan, the gayest thing you have ever seen will be when Fresno Kicks the Huskys ass.. Fact not fiction. The PAC 10 has a couple of good teams and a bunch of filler chumps. BSU could be a better than .500 team in the PAC 10.
The Blue rules.. admit it.

B-run, what does your BSU team have anything to do with the huskies getting their ass handed to them? We (UW) hung in with oklahoma at their house and actually gave them a run and we managed to win against San Jose St...The Pac 10 has more then a couple of good teams....Oregon? USC? Cal? Arizona and ASU? Sure, the UW and the rest of the bottom of the Pac 10 have been a mess in recent years, but historically look at how the Pac 10 has been...You ever open your eyes passed the blue turf to see that another Pac-10 team is in the rose bowl or in the BCS title game? You been watching USC dominate college football recently? Boise state could be a better then .500 team this year, but when the UW and WSU and OSU get their programs back on track, Boise state and its ridiculously gay blue turf would be a 2 win team...and that might include non conference games against Idaho and other joke teams...Blue Turf can be gay, but I don't know how a team beating another team can be gay...that doesnt' make sense...

Boy.. we pushed the big red button there When you look at the size of the schools and the MONEY they spend.. yea, its pretty gay when a WAC team pummels a PAC 10 school.

I heard that BSU wanted the Huskies on this seasons schedule but that UW didn't want to scar their record with a humiliating loss at home by a "joke team" like BSU.
Not sure what the joke is considering BSU has finished top twenty in the AP poll 3 of the last 4 seasons.
Talk your game, Fish Hunter, AFTER "the UW and WSU and OSU get their programs back on track". And it wasn't just a win, 42-14 is more like a prison date.
Yanking the chains and pushing the buttons.LOL

They may have been in the AP top 20 3 of 4 years, and may have dominated in the WAC, but when they play another top 20 team in a bowl they have lost the last 2. They lost at home, on the blue field, to a team that finished 3d or 4th in the ACC. Infact have they beaten a top 20 team during the regular season in the last couple of years?

Beat #19 ranked TCU in the Fort Worth Bowl 2003
Lost to #8 ranked Lousville 44-40 at the Liberty Bowl 2004
Lost to #19 ranked Boston College 21-27 at the MPC computer Bowl 2005.
Earlier in the same year were beat 7-27 by #14 ranked Fresno State.
I'm not sure but I know they got their butts handed to them early on in the 2004 season by the Georgia Bulldogs who ended up ranked top 5 by the end of the same season.
They just don't get scheduled by alot of BCS teams, or ranked teams. I think against just the few ranked teams they've played against the last few years they have done exceptionally well, even when they've lost. The 2004 Liberty Bowl was one of the best bowl games I've seen played in a long time.

Oh...And why would UW not want to play BSU at home? We decided on going to Oklahoma and playing them...So I would think that if they were willing to face a team like Oklahoma at their house then they would take a BSU match at home....

Why would they schedule Oklahoma rather than BSU? MONEY. Same reason anything and everything is done in the NCAA.

Along with money, they scheduled a team like OU, because it helps with recruiting. If they play a big school like OU, then if they win its great, if they lose, then not that big of deal they were supposed to. If they schedule a team like BSU, it does not help them with recruits, if they win, no big deal they are a big school, playing a smaller school they should win, but if they lose to BSU it make the program look like [Bleeeeep!]. Not to hard to understand when one pays attention to what most other NCAA schools are doing.

By one point.. The Athletics budget at UW is more than the entire budget for Fresno.. Live in it.. your team sucks. Big .. Big dollar coach " has he ever had a winning record anywhere ?? "
Seahawks look pretty good though

One point, or a hundred, doesn't matter.
BSU struggled with Wyoming, a D1A powerhouse.
Has Willingham won anywhere? No, he just took SU, the school with the highest academic standards in D1 to the Rose Bowl. Besides, we haven't had football players in the police blotter on a weekly basis......and that counts for something.
It's better to be a has-been than a never-was.

Yea the old hearts really crawl out on the sleeve don't they.. What do I have to talk about.. I been picking the Vikings to win the super bowl for the last 39 years or so and.. well, you see how thats worked out. However.. ( you knew this was coming ) Willingham has taken two schools with massive potential and done absolutly nothing with them. If you can't take ND and UW to at least a .500 record maybe you should step down a notch.. like the WAC maybe ??

One point, or a hundred, doesn't matter. BSU struggled with Wyoming, a D1A powerhouse. Dan did you mean to contradict yourself like that? So when UW wins it doesn't matter if it was a convincing win, but if its BSU then they have to win by 32 points or its an embarrasment? Well both teams kinda sucked this week. They both have Fresno and San Jose on their schedules. Without a head to head match up, this is all we get this year.

Not a contradiction at all......I never claimed UW was going to blow FSU, or anyone else, out. I did, however, hear the claim that BSU was fit to walk all over everybody......and was just wondering what happened to make them dance around with the likes of Wyoming. So yes, BSU must win by at least 35. :p

You take a team with a 1-10 record in the previous year and try to make them an above .500 team. There 2-1 now. Let them get all the credit they deserve. Almost as many wins in 3 games as in the last 2 years. 4. Potential? You try and take schools that require such high grades to get accepted in and make them into top notch football programs. Stanford and ND. Your not going to find a bunch of 4.0 gpa All American Football players... 4. He's done nothing with them? 10-3 record in his first year at ND after it was a disaster. Took STANFORD to the ROSE BOWL! Led them to an outright conference title...God he's really wasted his time sitting on his a$$ hasn't he?

I think the claim made was that BSU could beat half the PAC 10 teams this year. Looking at how the PAC has been doing that may not be a ridiculous claim. According to the AP and Coaches Polls BSU ranks higher than half the PAC 10.
Regardless of who does better this season, if UW beats USC I might tattoo a Huskie on my butt.
Arguing about college ball is ok. Right or wrong no ones life depends on the outcome, the fate of the environment doesn't depend on the answer, the future of America doesn't hang in the balance...unless USC wins another national title.

It doesn't have the easiest grade entry standards, but not a 4.0. Sorry I made that mistake. But Stanford is very tough and ND isn't easy either (maybe a little less than I proclaimed it to be, I was too lazy to distinguish the difference between Stanford and ND)...Even the one of the recent coaches at ND said that the schools entry requirements are too tough so they don't get any black players cause they can't manage the grades...

I think the claim made was that BSU could beat half the PAC 10 teams this year. Looking at how the PAC has been doing that may not be a ridiculous claim. Well, kid-gloving Wyoming isn't exactly proving the point. The five worst teams in the Pac this year will likely be SU, UW, AZ, WSU and OSU. I'd guess that BSU would be favored against any of them, so I guess that statement isn't too far-fetched. I still think that field should be outlawed, though.

I love the blue field. BSU likes that other teams hate it. The only warning I'd give regarding the Smurf Turf is not to suck on your whistle too long and then stare at it; you'll get dizzy and barf.
