Seems to me you want to call the police on someone just because they are attracted to the opposite sex? 17 18 year old girls get hit on all the time by older men. In most countries they are getting married at that age.
If we are going to get the authorities involved every time someone hits on 17 or 18 year olds we are going to need 10 times as many police.

Where do you start with something like this. As a conservative, it makes me sick to see the republicans gloss over something like this. And don't think that the democrats might not have known about this and waited until election time to toss it out. I don't know any united states congressman, but have met a few state represenatives and politicans in the course of business. What has shocked me is that about half of them have struck me as complete idiots. Forget trying to discuss policies or ideas with them. They don't understand. At one time I e-mailed my council member about a lack of police response to a problem I was having. He wrote back that the department had a 97% success rate on all crimes and that they were doing a great job. In truth, this is probably the sucess rate of crimes they prosecute. Call them up and 90% they won't even take a report, though they might send you a form in the mail so you can report it to your insurance. This man was so ignorant, he didn't understand the basics. He finished his term in the council and was elected to a higher position. If you go into the county building, the first thing you will notice is that he as 5 or 6 pictures of himself in the main office (one room) and every piece of litature you get from his office has his picture and name slapped on the top. I guess thats how we know he's so good and smart.
Had other contacts personally with elected officals that were as or more stupid. They simply have the money and influence to get elected. I don't know where from as I sure wouldn't give them money. In the end we need to change this countries election policies and make it possible for the best man to win, not just the choice of the parties. How to do this? I have no idea. I just know that I am sick of the choices we have.

Watching the democratic stategists on the news tonight cracked me up. They were asked about Studds and his physical encounter with a 16 year old page a few years back and how it got rewarded with an appointment to a big committe and a standing ovation. Their reply was that the act in itslef is not the issue. The hypocrisy is. So Republicans are hypocrites when a few of them are caught spanking the monkey.
