Sorry for the small size, but it's the only photo I have of my brother's just completed '46 Certainly not in the same category as Dan's Dream Machines, but I think it's cool. beer

Our old Family Truckster, way back in the day was a '68 Dodge Charger R/T complete with the 440 & 6 pack carbeurator.

Boy, I still remember the searing pain of those black vinyl seats on those hot summer days.

I also remeber my mother, used to her Toyota Corona, stomping on the gas at a stoplight, lighting up those 5-stars and about having a apoplectic fit.

Dan...yes, he actually has done a lot of car design/restoration/modification and had some of his work in Road and Track. His last work prior to the one pictured was an old high-hood jeep that was pretty much a rust bucket initially and the coolest toy imaginable when completed.

FishHunter..that is a hoot! Cops are already checking it out! and who's going to clean those wire wheels? rofl rofl rofl

Slabby,

Well if he's getting mention in R&T, he's done some top shelf work. I envy guys that can turn a heap up rusted parts in turn it into a thing of beauty again.

I friend of mine worked at Pete Lovely racing years back when they were doing a restoration of a '59 Ferrari Testarossa. Seeing that thing change from a crate of crap to a work of art was amazing. This is what it looks like now.

That 4-wheeler is cracking me up. laugh

Keep them coming.............

Fishhunter, I see guys on 4 wheelers tearing around the streets in west philly. They go as fast as they can and drive on the shoulder, and they get away with it since cops don't go into that part of the city.

Hey Slab Happy. What is that pumpkin in the pic. The reflections make the tail light hard to see. And maybe it's not original anyway. My very first car was a 1948 Ford two door. Had the 59A block, Edelbrock heads and IM, Zephyr gearing and a Columbia electric OD rear end. Painted Metallic green. Was purdy and gave the guys driving the 49's fits. Traded it in for the down payment on a house. Darn.

I remember leaving a party with a couple guys and a guy named Andy Fredricson in his 69 firebird to make a beer run back in high school. Went into town, loaded four cases of beer in the trunk, and Andy caught 3 gears pulling out onto Viking Avenue in front of a town clown parked across the street. Leaving town over the rise we saw his gumball machine go off in the rear view mirror. I told Andy to just get around the first corner and pull in a driveway and turn his lights out. What does he do? He slows down, turns his lights out and THEN turns in the driveway. Only he missed the driveway by 20 feet and put the car nose down in a 7-foot deep ditch. So we just sat there and waited to get busted.

That's my 69 firebird story. I have a 69 GTO story too. smile
