Hi Bob,
This is my first time visiting your website, I am very impressed with the information available and how easy it is to find good information. This is by far the best fishing site I have ever seen.
Just read you post on Puff Balls and would like to bring you up to speed on what's going on. As you may know puff balls were very hard to come by last year due to a couple of issues. No we didn't burn down or have a major disaster.
First, the demand got so high we couldn't keep up and retain the quality we desired. Second, the paints we used didn't contain the Fluorescents and Pearl base I thought was necessary for the colors to change in different light and depth of water. I spent 11 months working with many paint manufactures to come up with the exact color desired, you can put one of our packages up to a light, then turn it slightly and see the colors change, that's what it does under water. This paint is only available on the our puff balls. These paints are non-toxic and lead free.
We have expanded our manufacturing process to meet all demands and for those who like to order on line they can visit our new website at
www.puffballs.net . We also have a Guide program for full time professional guides. Interested guides can contact me a riverswest@charter.net or by phone at 707-482-5822, remember I am a guide also so I usually call back in the evenings.
Jan 2003 we will be introducing two new colors, one of which has been designed especially for the far west Steelhead.
