You have to shrink the picture before you upload it to the BB.

I broke 60 three times, once on May 22, once on June 2, and then again on July 11. You can catch big fish up there year round, best time is in May and early June though. I would rather be a lucky fisherman than a good fisherman. Lucky fisherman catch big fish.

That one I am holding a picked up motor mooching with 17 feet of line out ona whole herring working the kelp beds in a bout 40 feet of water. Picked up one right about the same size in the same exact spot a few days later off the downrigger. That one took about two hours to land. It hit an 11'4'' noodle rod with an islander reel loaded with 15lb izor line. Good thing it was gut hooked or we would have never landed it. The one I got in July came a couple miles offshore fishing some under water structure. I was working bottom bait in the sand flats that was piled up around a pinnacle. It was a 63 lb buck. Again weighed in on certified scale about ten hours after death. Its dimensions were 50.25 X 33.5 in. www.reelclasscharters.com

If you want more info on really BIG kings, how they're caught and where they can be found try a delightful book written by an old timer by the name of Erv Jensen. It's not only about some jaw dropping salmon (documented with pictures for proof) but it also includes some wonderful experiences that he shared with his brother while salmon fishing for many years in one of the most breath-takingly beautiful places in this world. A great read.

Little Boats and Big Salmon: Fishing Adventures in Alaska
by Erv Jensen
Publisher: Three Trees Publishing; ; (January 1999) ISBN: 0966875303

You can even call Erv direct at 360-692-2117 to order or chat. At least I think he is still alive.
