Reel seat question?

I'm building an UL spinning rod and want to know some opinions on reel seats. I want to use the kind that has the sliding rings,to hold the reel. I know it's not a real secure way to do it,but it will be on an UL rod, and probably won't see huge fish. Thanks.

Is this your flyblank UL spinning rod? On my steelhead boondoggling rods, I prefer to us a Tennesse Sensor handle. All graphite with slip rings. It is really designed for ice fishing rods. If you want a pic of 1 let me know. Jon

Rodman, This will be used on that rod. I'm going to buy the blank tommorow, and wanted some insight as to the type of handle preffered for UL's.
If you could e-mail me the pic's,that would be great. Thanks.

You Might want to try looking at the website www.rodguild.com. They have a message board that might be of help to you. Good luck with your rod. UL are a fun way to catch fish. I built one for sea run cutthrouts it is a blast to fish.

Until I feel the blanks at the shop,I'm not decided on which one. If I like the way it feels,a Rainshadow IF662. If the 2wt is a little light an IF704,might be the one.
I can't remember the exact price,but it's around $40.
