Oooooo.....had a friend did that to my CJ-5 while I watched from my boat....had just turned dark, and quite a sight with the headlights shining up through the lake. Tow truck hauled the whole works back to town still hooked up....What a day.

Well two comments...

1 - Dumb ass

2 - That is great for two reasons, the first is that that was probably the only time his cool SUV was use "off road" and second I bet he didn't bother beer

Ahhh, brings back such sweet memories.

Like the time I launched my VW Van at Fish Lake.
A buddy and our boys snuck off from where our families were camped in the mountains miles away for some "unauthorized" fishing very early one summer morning. The lake was in full bloom and van just slid down an algae covered concrete ramp into the lake as I pushed the boat off the trailer. Dang thing floated around with the motor still running, so we pushed her back in. After it died, we tried to dry it (and all our groceries) out in the sun while we went fishing. Everybody else knew the lake was unfishable but us because of the bloom, so there was no one to give us a ride out of there when the van failed to start. At 11:00 PM and a 10 mile walk later, I stumbled into camp to face the GIRLS. mad Oh boy, need I say more. frown It was a long cold trip back down to get the boys but even longer trip home with everyone and everything both families owned crammed into my buddy's van; me lucky to be riding in back with the dogs. Fortunately, in the end nothing but my pride suffered as a result.

Anybody else out there launched a rig?
OK, anybody out there care to admit it?

Ok, I'm 16, parents are out of town. I take (steal) Dad's pride, a brand new 1976 Chev 4x4 to deliver some furniture for a lady at Vaughn Bay near Purdy. After delivering the furniture, she insists we go look at the beautiful beach before she will pay us. We drive down to the beach, pull off the boat ramp and park. Get out of the truck and it has sunk frame deep in a clam bed! I borrow a neighbors moped and ride into Purdy to summon a tow truck. By the time I get back, the tide is in, over the dashboard of the truck. I spent the entire summer stripping down the totalled truck and rebuilding. Fortunately I had the sense to rinse the motor , tranny and differentials immediately. Dad kept that truck another 15 years before he sold it. The second owner had to put a new seat in it after the springs fell apart.

"HE DIDNT GET TO BOTHER PEOPLE WITH HIS PWC, wabowhunter?! mad What the hell is that suppose to mean? I have fished and hunted on the water my whole life, sometimes even from a pwc, which works very well. I also raced them for 7 years and watched our sport go down hill because of an onslaught from eco's and paid democrats. Those same people dislike those of us that fish and hunt and hope more than anything to remove us of those rights. I know some people are idiots on their pwc, i've yeld at many myself, but dont hate a whole sport for a few individuals. Their is no required liscense or instruction so many buy one not knowing anything about boater safety and they do so pretty stupid stuff like buzzing fishing boats and riding near swimming areas, but dont think for one second we are all that way.

oh ya and if you want my most recent experience, i was at clear lake in pierce county this summer and these 2 guys my age on sea-doo's were blasting around the lake inside the 5 mph bouys without life jackets on, i ran them down with my racetuned pwc and yelled so many colorful words at them, they returned to the shore and never came on the lake again.

You are probaly part of the 1% that dose'nt act like a brain dead moron when operating a PWC. I consider PWC's a menace on the water. One of the things I like most about Canadian waters is thier regulation of PWC's
