Anybody who has already been to the show, are there any Hewes Crafts on display? I would like to see them, and see if anybody has any deals there.
Thanks,

There are some Hewes at the show. Those are some nice rigs. I really like them.

They are not giving them away though.

Des Moines Boats has them at the show. Bought mine from them in 2000, the prices have increased but so is everything. I love mine, great boat, good dealer. That 18 footer looked pretty good..........

There in the same tent as the trout pond. Not many models, only one sea runner. What model you after? I bought one 2 years ago. I went with the 20 ft sea runner, 100 hp Yamaha 4 stroke, and 8 hp yahama 4 stroke kicker. Great boats, handle rough water well. I got a good deal down in Hoquiam (sp?) They were a few thousnad less than the others I saw, and great to work with. Good Luck.

Thanks All,
I will go check it out.
I'm debating between the North River 19 and the 18 Hewes, possibly the 19 Alumaweld Stryker. Not cheap, but they will all last 25 years easy and still have a great resale value.
Thanks again.

I don't know much about the smaller ones ... but Fishgal's dad has one of the bigger boats, the 26 Alaskan Sea Runner.

I'll have to say that I've been quite impressed with it. I ran it in some pretty nasty water out of Seward last year on our way out the the Chiswell Islands and for an aluminum boat, it rode very nicely.

Workmanship seemed to very good throughout, I would imagine that is likely (and hopefully) the case throughout their entire line.

Here we are off to Homer this day for an all-out attack on steamer clams.

For steamer fans, you're allowed 1,000 per day, per person here :p
