need help putting my picture underneath my name, tried everything, cant seem to figure it out.
help please!!!!!!

Try a search under "avatar"

i dont want an avatar picture, i have a picture saved under my computer and i want to put that picture under my name. for the picture it says to type in a full url. well i did and i still cant get it to show up. any more help?

Ok Sturgio, let me see if I can help.

First - Get the picture out from under your computer and get it loaded ONTO it. (just a little joke there )

Second - Upload the picture here to this site using the picture uploader link. (pretty easy so far huh?)

After it's stored here, copy the URL of the photo (right click copy, or press the Ctrl + C keys simultaneously) It's the white box on your browser that says Address.

Paste the URL into the select avatar field (right click paste or Ctrl + V) Hit update profile and you should be good to go.

still cant get it to work, the first problem i had was that i was at my college and outside websites cannot get into our server, no i have tried using the upload link on the site to use on the bulletin board and i continue to get error" when trying to upload into the site.

Please

First step is to go to the visitors photo gallery and upload the photo to the server. Then when you go to make a new post at the bottom is a button that says image. This will ask for a URL link to your photo, it will be something like http://www.piscatorialpursuits.com/uploads/THE NAME OF YOUR PHOTO.JPG

Wrong addy FK2 ... you're entering the URL of the page and not the image.

Remember everyone, the URL will be in this format:

http://www.piscatorialpursuits.com/uploads/UP2110.jpg

the number 2110 will change, and is unique to the picture that you uploaded, the next one uploaded will be 2111.jpg


Go to the avatar section in your prfile, hit select avatar, then fill in the box at the bottom of the page with your picture address.

Once you do that, hit the button that say "Set URL", when you do ... your avtar will appear (bigger ones will be distorted, but that's normal and it will appear fine at the end) in the upper left hand corner of the window. Then, hit the button that says select this avatar

You should have gotten an email with the address, I did as the uploader emails me and emails you.

Now if you're making a post and hit the image button below the text entry box, a window pops up and you enter that address

voila, the picture appears in your post:




If you want to use this as your avatar, you will have to make it smaller and upload again. Any image editor has resizing capabilities

first you need a quality fishing photo, which i know you don't have sturgio....then follow the simple steps that bob explained for you
