Do they let you mount downriggers on that thing? Looks like the trolling speed might be a little HOT

Wow! Impressive pix DR! I'm thinking you probably don't have enough wire on the 'riggers and may have to up the weight on your 'rigger balls!

Dangerous Dave and I have been joking about mounting a rigger from the cigar lounge... Problem is not so much the riggers and speed, but how in the heck we are going to net or lasso the fish. The waterline is some 35' down!

Nonetheless, we hope to have a fishing report this weekend to you with a couple of pix of Marlin... yes Marlin! (Your tax dollars hard at work!)

KEV,

Will gladly swap spots... I would rather have the cold than the hot anyday.

We're just getting the fun stuff out of the way. By the looks of things, the next few months is going to be all business!

BTW, Dangerous Dave and I voted against posting the beer pix (BFG!).

Easy,

No Black Box, but our fish finder will reach 6000 fathoms!

Wait a minute. The very top pic on this thread looks familiar. I think that's the jet sled that boondogged over my line last year on the Sky.

DR,

It looks like your still fishing at Green Pt. I thought your boat was only 22 feet. Did you upgrade? What kind of fish do you catch now.
Keep safe and give them hell.

Ah the memories. KittyHawk 1970-74. Good work DR. Thanks for the kewl pics. As for bringing the fish aboard we found that a grapling hook on 1/4 line worked well on yellow tails to 30lb.

Give em a piece of America for us. (always new that scrap iron would be good for something)

God Speed

Return with honor.

Thank you.

If you get a charter, I would recommend you go out to Waianae over the Waikiki boats. That's where we always went when I was stationed there and again when I was on Chucky V in 98. Always had good trips and was flying several flags everytime we pulled back in the Marina!!

Dave, can we reserve your bunk for Hi-Hium?? Hope you guys are doing well out there and stay safe!!

Grandpa- Thought this country was founded on the basis of freedom of religion, must be one of those "bible thumpin born againers". From the other side of the aisle, I will pray for a safe return of all of the men and women in the military. May God or (who ever you believe in ) bless America.

Herm,

DD is a Senior Chief IT (Radioman) and I am a Chief Skivvy Waver (SMC).. (I am more of a navigation kinda guy now). I know about Wooden Ships and Iron Men... I was on old Mine Sweeps....

CFM,

I love it! Small and effective. Your's are good for one person... These's babies leave no evidence except a hole in the ground!

I'll have to dig around and see if I can find a pic of a 2000#'r

I am reminded of the first scene in the movie Gladiator. Remember when the guy from the other side come out of the woods, shaking the head from the scout, yelling something unintelligable. Quintus said something like, "People should know when they've been conquered."

The pix above remind me of that gross difference in power. Impressive.

You guys go get 'em. Try not to get hurt while you do it.

DR, DD,

Thanks for the great pix. I've the greatest respect for the work you're doing. Looks like you're well prepared for opening day if a season is declared. Please observe daily and season bag limits. And be safe! This is not a catch and release season!

Sincerely,

Salmo g.
