Sill haven't decided wether to fish Baby I. or PT. Townsend. Anyone seen any action/bait at either local? The wind is suposed to be southerly Sunday, so my thought was that I could always run up behind Whidby Isl. to Baby Isl. if the wind picked up. Still want to go where their are fish though. Point me in the right direction!!!

Also, just finished installing my B/B. Could use some good numbers for blackmouth in the 120-180 range. I don't trust the numbers in the book (.600?).

Try .670 - .680 if you are fishing deep, like 140-160'.

Worse than just no fish, there's no bait ANYWHERE on Midchannel. I've been across on the ferry to Whidbey Island a couple of times recently and haven't seen any bait, birds, seals. Nothing.

Report was horrible fishing today. Most people didn't even hook shakers. Fishing the Sound is a better bet for awhile.

I just got back from two days at Midchannel, not smart enough to learn from the first day I guess rolleyes Fishing was worse than I have ever seen it - no bait, no shakers, nothin'. Only fish I heard of (2) were not caught out on the bank but instead in shallow water early. I know it opened a couple weeks earlier this year, so maybe that's what's wrong, but still, with all that time off there should be something out there confused

Only good thing was afternoon crabbing on the Canal on the way home - limits of crabs to 7" in 1 1/2 hours on 3 pulls eek laugh

The fishing was GREAT! The catching could have used some improvement however........

I keep hearing how good the crabbing has been lately down the Canal. How far down were you? Looks like it'll be closed until June up here.

Thanks.

I have a nice crab hole across from the Bangor Sub base. . I don't keep anything under 7" and I only have to make 1-2 pulls to get my kid and my limits . all over 7 inches. Anywhere around the Duckabush or Dosewallips will get you crab also.
There are good spots in Quil bay to hello .
good luck.
