If I ask ten people what rod they perfer, I will get ten answers.
I want a rod I can have for many years with out any problems.
I am looking for a one piece plug rod 8 feet or so, for taddys and hotshots.
I will be fishing for steelhead mosty. But I would like to have some power for salmon also. 10 to 20lb test.
I would be willing to spend a buck and a half if I had too. Mabey more if it is worth it.
I know there are alot out on the market. Just not really sure what to buy?
I have learned glass is good but it does not handle the boat real good.
Any info would would be great!!
Thanks.

An excellent plug rod in the 10-20# range is the Loomis HS981. One piece, 8'2" I use it all the time for springers and would make an excellent big Steelhead rod.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: don't overlook a TH 965 in the rainshadow blank. 8 footers, 10-20 # line. I've been trying to wear mine out laugh you can probably get two TH rods for the price of one Loomis, and they are quality rods. Just my opinion (but they put four in the boat Sunday-proof positive) thumbs
