Just picked up my first spool of Ande green 15#
Mono. Gonna mostly use it for blackmouth and maybe leader for spring nates. Just wondering what others think of this line and how it stacks
up against the competition. The price is very reasonable so I thought I would check it out.
Any opinions?
Thanks

I think it is a great line. I respool all my rods once a week with it. Have landed 50lb plus springers with 10lb test.

The best thing since sliced bread. I respool every couple of outings, and it doesn't take a big bite out of the pocket book!! beer I use 10lb or 8lb for summer runs depending on the water conditions.

I love the line. Thats all I use for my mainline. Very visible when out of the water so you can see where you line is

I like Ande for my saltwater mainline. The Rite Aid next to where I live is where I buy it cause they seem to have bought too much and put it on sale cheap to blow it out. I bought 10 spools of it for $40.00

Tried them all and the Green might be the best all-around saltwater stuff I've used. Makes a good knot and holds well up with downrigger clips; good salmon leader material too. One thing I like about this stuff is that, like Chameleon, it seems to have less stretch (without being brittle) and that lets me fish heavier test in deeper waters; perfect for jigging, mooching and downrigger fishing. I used to use 12 & 15# but have upped it to 20# for the salt for greater longevity. Their High-vis yellow line is decent stuff for river fishing too; great for plugging and casts better than the Green. There may be higher quality lines (Maxima, Izor to name a few) but IMHO there are none better for the price and there are a boatload that are not as good for a heck of a lot more $.

Very good line, especially for the price. I have never had a problem with the Ande green. I usually cahnge teh line often if I am fishing a lot though. I use it for leader material and haven't lost a fish yet. I thinkyou will be ahppy with it.
